Third Place finish for Lauren Walsh at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open

Lauren Walsh has got her rookie year off to a fantastic start as she just recorded her best finish to date on the Ladies European Tour. A tied third finish at the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open yesterday has given her a third top-10 finish this season. With a three-round total of 10 under par, she finished one stroke back from eventual winner Alice Hewson who won in a play-off over Tvesa Malik.

Roddy Carr, Non-Executive Director at ForeFront Group said “Lauren Walsh reached the 16th hole yesterday in the Swiss Open and saw her name on the top of the leaderboard for the first time with a strong pack chasing her with many holes to go. She proceeded to birdie the last two holes to get to 10 under par which looked like a winning score. In the end she was pipped by one shot when the last two players finished eagle – birdie on the last two holes to beat her.

What a great performance and display of courage. Well done Lauren…..it’s just the beginning for you.”
