Top-10 finish for Walsh at Amundi German Masters

Lauren Walsh clinched her first top-10 finish of the season on the Ladies European Tour after a great week at the Amundi German Masters.

The event was played at Golf & Country Club Seddiner See, Germany on May 16-19 which saw 132 players competing for the title. Walsh shot rounds of 71, 72, 69 and 70 for a 4-round total of 6 under par to place her in tied 8th on the leaderboard, finishing 6 shots back from eventual winner Alexandra Forsterling (Germany) who won the event in a play-off over Austria’s Emma Spitz. Walsh’s third round included a one in a million shot where she had her first ever albatross on the sixth hole. Lauren hit an incredible 5 wood from 228 yards which pitched just short and ran up the green and into the hole!

Walsh who recently joined the Amundi Golf European Team will hope to continue her fine form into this week as she heads to France to compete in the Jabra Ladies Open at the Evian Resort Golf Club.
